Deep within the caves of lonesome underworld
This hermit was condemned to dwell.
Is it night or day upon the surface?
This hermit can no longer tell.
Though Sol was his unlucky star,
A disastrum that left him blinded,
His myocardium is strong enough by now
To leave it all behind him.
It is only in the nature of a star to shine so bright.
It is only in the nature of a pious hermit
to pursue, so mercilessly, its holy sunlight..
but now, alas, this hermit stands relieved of his profane and wicked sight.
He stands reborn, upon this dark and moonless
lifelong night.
Grateful unto death he stands,
for his humble little parting gift..
Of seeing beauty that only the blinded eye sees.
One need not have a pair of seeing eyes..
To feel the ocean’s gentle breeze.
