Poem 798

We fought,
we triumphed,
we resigned.
To save
our health
for future fights.
On battlefields
still yet unknown.
What’s there
to Life..
but growing
old?

What’s there to living..
but accumulating years?
In taking steps away
from Death.. we’re only
buying time, it seems?

Going in circles
squarely gets her
off our tail..
but once she’s nowhere
to be seen,
and we have come
full circle,
whose behind
shall we
observe again?

Perhaps we trade
the path of our
circumferences
for our radii.
Head centrally,
towards The All
Observing Eye.

Towards The Origin
of truth unknowable..
there seems to lie
The One undying flame.
Where both our spin
and our velocity..
become one
in the same.
