to maximize
their lever-pressing
rate?

You make
the outcome
unpredictable..
such that they
never know
exactly what
they’re gonna get.

Sometimes a boink,
sometimes a carrot,
sometimes.. nothing?
That’s correct..
there’s no mistake.
A bit of nothing
works as substitute
for boinking
on the head
with stick of love..
quite great.

Why give head
boinks?
Isn’t just
variable ratio
of carrot
reinforcement
the ol’ textbook way?
