Poem 574

Do you know
what hurts more
than a lie?
A crooked
half-truth.
Spoken
through
silence..
between
the lines.

Then again,
when you’re
cutting a diamond..
you cannot observe
its full brilliance..
‘til you’ve cut it
from The All sides.

Silence

Between

The Lines

One true language
of spies.

Codes and cyphers
conceal a reality..
just as pretty
as diamonds are fair.
But beneath them
the message
is simple.

I was never enough.
I was safe and familiar,
willing and able..
and there.
