Poem 430

Dear God..
I lay my heart
before you,
yet again.
Now, in your hands
it lays exposed..
naked and bare.
For, naught but
mighty hands of yours
possess the strength..
its nakedness to bear.

Though I have
utmost faith
in your All-seeing
providence..
still I am scared.
Still I am frightened
of what I do not
yet know..
of shadows lurking
in the darkness..
which obscures the path
that leads me
where I’m meant to go.

Beneath the dimness
of moonlight,
to you alone I pray.
To shed a light
upon the path
ahead of me..
and to illuminate
the way.

For, I am fallible..
For, some days
even faith in me
grows weak.
But only through
observing
your reflections
in myself..
may I discover
strength of will
that I so desperately
seek.

Dear God,
I am your humble
vessel..
you alone, however,
are my boundless
source.
You hold
the crushing weight
of anguish in my heart.
I merely hold the weight
of faith in you,
as light as feather..
and as natural
as my surrender
to your ebbs
and flows.
