Why did the black sheep
take a quantum leap..
to the other side
of the street?
A mystery
to make you lose
all sanity and sleep.

Was it because
the grass was greener
on the timeline
across the road?
Was it to ease the burden
of some existential load?
Or was it to seek escape
and shelter from the herd?

We may
never crack
the code
to this enigma.
But our inexplicable
is very often but a veil
of psychological
repression..
meant to mask
a deeper stigma.
So even in
the black sheep’s eye
it may remain
a strange superposition
uncollapsed.

It may be
for the better
if it stays that way..
or maybe not?
perhaps?
