Poem 312

It may be true
that there
will always be..
a bigger fish
still swimming
in the sea.
But a bigger fish
is not my heart’s
most coveted wish.
May she end up
upon some other
angler’s dish.

I want the little fishie
that’s already mine.
The One I loved
through every branch
of space and time.
The One that didn’t
take the bait..
rather The One
whose hooks impaled..
and bound my heart
to hers
by thread of fates.

I never stood a chance
against her..
it was only a matter
of when.
Even God’s angler
can’t resist
the gravitational
curvature..
around this fisher
of men.
