To love The Many
or to love The One?
Depends upon
the target
that you’re aiming for..
and the target aimed for
varies as a function of
who holds the gun.

A desperado
who is shooting for
variety, drama, and spice..
The Many shall
beyond a doubt
entice.
There is much allure
to keeping
yourself free..
but even freedom
carries its own
hidden fee.

For every woman you pursue,
you sacrifice a fraction
of your mental
real estate.
Pursue too many..
and you’ve spread yourself
too thin.
So thin that you will struggle
to accomplish
much of note
with mental energies
that may remain.

If you are shooting
to produce
the greatest impact
on the world
while you are still
alive..
Loving The Many
shall only “serve”
to weigh you down
with needless worry
and unnecessary
strife.

The Many shall become
a mighty strain
upon your physical
and mental health.
Leaving a legacy
that will outlive yourself
demands, however,
most judicious allocation
of your many wealths.

If you’re a cowboy
of the latter sort..
then I suggest
shoot for The One
as your only resort.
Cherish and validate her
as your second Sun.
If she is a noble woman
and she truly loves you..
as a seasoned man
should have discernment
easily to tell..
and if you treat her also
with utmost devotion,
lovingly and well..
she’ll never be
The One to drain you
not a chance in hell.

On the contrary
she’ll always be
the strongest ally
on your side.
Both through
the warmest day..
and through
the coldest night.
Because two suns
that orbit one another..
always shine together
twice as bright.
