Poem 28

left for life and stranding on a restless plateau.
glimpses haunt my periphery,
foveae fixed on a wishful facsimile.
its face is of a million dying stars.
a gaze which draws me nearer,
drags me from afar.
its eyes are a droning rhythm of sleepless dreams and delusional dread.
bestowing of opiate madness
and the deepest ecstasies of hell.
————————————————————————
ashes to ash,
and my mind is now dust on the wind.
carried aloft,
crippled hopelessly by contradictions from within.
