commits you to forego
choosing The Many?
Here is a playful little
thought experiment
for you to ponder..
maybe.

Well.. if you had to pick
only a single star
of all the stars
in our cosmos..
to suddenly disappear!
I reckon
that you wouldn’t pick
to lose The Sun..
that much seems
pretty clear.

Yay..
As strange as it may seem
our love for that
which is already in our grasp..
Is only evident
when we consider it becoming
that which slipped away.
Don’t look at me!
I’m not the one who wrote
the rules..
I merely study them
with scholarly devotion..
as I play the game.
