The Truth
Part II - The Forbidden

Any true assertion
finds its meaning
only with reference
to its negation..
an assertion
that is false.
Only by means
of argument
and disagreement
over these assertions..
are we endowed
with the capacity
to differentiate
the other from our own..
That is the ground
upon which rests
a-many
earthly boundary
and wall.

But wherein lies
the aggregate composite
of our truths?
The All?
That is The Truth
that never was
bestowed upon us..
not by the fruit..
and not at any point
after The Fall.

It is The Truth Unknowable
that only The Eye of God
may ever truly see..
And if we ever merely
caught a glimpse of it..
our will would not be
any longer free.

It is The Truth
The Devil tempted Jesus,
once upon a peaceful height,
to learn..
To take a downward leap
and see whether He truly was
The Son of God.
But Jesus didn’t take the bait..
because He knew that to demand
conclusive evidence from Father..
is to forsake His faith.
