Poem 186

Once again I had a dream
in which I saw refractions
of your beauty in my mind.
Orpheus, the playful songster,
sang it gently, right into my ear,
as if a lullaby..
Morpheus, the witty dreamster,
sprinkled stardust on my eyelids
as I slept..
and when I woke, I couldn’t tell
which parts of it was real..
which other ones
I merely dreamt.
All that I know,
is that I held you tight..
and that in my embrace
you found your
long awaited home alright.

If only distances that separate us,
didn’t get so in the way..
If only in that dream with you,
I could forever stay.
