Poem 16

The ageless, false dilemma lies contingent on a premise, long forgotten.
The citadel of suffering it spawned rests firmly on a foul foundation, gravely rotten.
Within its walls, the prisoners
Indulge in willful ignorance,
A dull intoxication fills their blissful sleep,
As faceless shepherds feed crude images of neon dreams to dormant sheep.
