Poem 148

Upon the night of Hallow’s Eve,
two moon-crossed lovers found
within each other’s hearts
their soul’s relief.
Within a shared existence
in a moment of beautiful living.
Within each other’s presence.
Within the act of giving.

To hallow.. is to sanctify.
To make the other holy.
To truly see the other..
And to exorcise, at last,
the ghost of sanctimony.
To tell apart the living dream
from dreamless sleep..
To separate the shallow
from the deep.

Upon The Hallow..
Upon that fateful night..
Upon each other’s depth
two moon-crossed lovers
shed their inner light.
Upon the waning Harvest..
Upon the Day of The Dead.
They understood each other
through the heart..
not through the head.

They understood
the deepest truth
within each other..
The deepest truth
that’s always left unsaid.
Because the deepest truth
cannot be put to words,
cannot be written down,
cannot be read..
The deepest truth
is only ever fully understood..
when it is mutually, truly felt.
