Poem 136

You are the flint..
and I am the steel.
When we rub up
against each other..
a humble spark appears.

Given sufficient
oxygen and fuel..
for it to burn..
the humble spark gives rise
to a shimmering flame,
in turn.

And if the shimmering flame
is, for long enough, kept alive..
a raging inferno is born.
The Fire is brought to life.
