My Beautiful Little Flower - Part 2/2
“The Gift of Freely Given Love”

Our love for one another doesn’t bind us..
She’s always welcome to continue loving others..
Because our loving for each other
is so innocent and free.
And yet.. from all the sea of many gazing eyes..
She still continues choosing me.
Because she knows I have a gift for her..
A gift she may not find
so readily and freely given..
by another lover’s hand.

The gift of being truly seen..
The gift of feeling herself as a woman,
most beautiful and deeply wanted by a man.
The gift of blooming under my light..
while still retaining freedom
to have her fun with both the moon
and with the other stars at night.

Which love is truest?
Is it a love that shackles and confines?
Or is it love that buoys and uplifts?
Is it a love that binds with jealous ownership?
Or is it love that showers
with affection and with gifts..
While still expecting nothing in return?
I reckon that the latter, in both cases,
Is the only way to truly give it.

For giving in itself, by far..
is just about the greatest privilege of all.
Where there is giving..
flames of love burn brightest.
And loving is the water and the sunlight..
That keeps a youthful flower thriving..
That cultivates it.. and that helps it grow.
And is not love, therefore, the greatest..
The most generous and joyful gift of all..
that we have, upon another, to bestow?
